Cog railway points are back!
Since the summer of terror, it has been quiet around the small, cute cogwheel railway switches from FERRO-TRAIN. The already rather low stocks were quickly sold out and it has taken us the last few months to fulfil the remaining pre-orders. Now we can finally close a big gap - rack railway points are available again!

To answer many, sometimes worried, customer enquiries once again clearly and officially: Yes, there will still be cog railway models.
We are working flat out to restock the warehouses. Most of the accessories and wagons are back in stock and immediately available. The locomotive models are currently only made to order! All model variants from the webshop can be ordered at any time, even despite the red dot. Please allow 3-8 weeks for delivery.
Models and accessories that are no longer in the webshop cannot be ordered or delivered at present. We expect to be able to deliver regularly again towards the end of the year and thank you for your keen interest and hope for your understanding for the forced unorthodox production method!

The first „Salzburger Lokalbahn“!
In July 1907, the ‘Rote Elektrische’ (Red Electric) connection from Salzburg Local Railway Station to Drachenloch station was opened, and shortly afterwards the section of the line from the German border was electrified. As early as its first year of operation, 15 passenger cars were in service. However, the city and local railway also always transported goods, especially marble, sand and cement. In the interwar period, a buffet car was even added to increase the attractiveness of the railway.

Back to a new century!
The Graz tramway was electrically powered from 1898. The already uniformly green set dates from the years 1900 to 1912 before the open railcars were modernised, windscreens were installed and the lyre bars gradually gave way to the more reliable scissor bars. First individually, later as a set, the Grazer Tramway brought the people of Graz into the city.

Back to the past!
In February 2025, the narrow-gauge railway returned to HALLING in the form of two blue Mixnitz electric locomotive models. Today, history takes a step back into the past. The narrow-gauge Mixnitz-St. Erhard line, which is only 11 kilometres long, was built in 1913 as part of the development of the magnesite deposits in Breitenau am Hochlantsch. The two electric locomotives ‘Breitenau’ and ‘Hochlantsch’ with the Bo axle arrangement were delivered by AEG in the same year and used for mixed operation of passenger and goods trains.

New rack railway carriages!
As promised, we are replenishing our stocks of the fine, small rack railway models from FERRO-TRAIN! But that's not all, we have also taken the liberty of expanding the range. In response to popular demand, there are now also two structurally different observation carriages to match the ‘Type Schafbergbahn’ passenger coach.
