News 2025.08 - HALLING drives Simple and versatile

10% off all drives and components!*

When it comes to drive technology for model railways, there is no getting around the deliberately simple HALLING drives. Like no other model railway manufacturer, the company founder Leopold Halling understood the importance of drives and also offered drives from his own models individually. At that time, the company had a handful of different drives that were actually intended to motorise the so-called souvenir models of the Wiener Linien.

In 2016, the company was taken over by Mr Neumann and he quickly realised that the drives often sold significantly more than the original souvenir models. The tram modellers had also started to teach other stationary models to run with the help of HALLING drive technology. Thousands of the finished drives were dismantled, sawn, filed and reassembled. The four-axle C1 drive (ANT-C1-xx) is probably the most frequently used H0 model railway drive of all time.

A lot has happened since then! The division has been expanded, further drives and components from current models have been included and summarised in the legendary HALLING drive technology catalogue. The catalogue very quickly became so extensive that the print version with almost two hundred pages became unbearable. What remained were the elaborately compiled specifications of the motors, gearboxes and gearwheels and the dimensioned drawings of almost all HALLING drives.

Today, HALLING Modelle offers around 1000 different items in its own web shop, which are summarised in the Drive Technology group. In addition to the classics, there are now also the grandiose ALX drives with the smallest bell-type armature motors, countless variations with different centre distances, wheel sizes and track gauges and lots of practical products such as electronics, weights or couplings. See for yourself and take advantage of the current promotion!

*) The current drive technology promotion applies to all items in stock whose article numbers begin with ANT or ETH! Valid up to and including 19.08.2025. Delivery only in household quantities!

Back to a new century! The Graz tramway was electrically powered from 1898. First individually, later as a set, the Grazer Tramway brought the people of Graz into the city.
