The Vario Drive from HALLING Modelle is an institution! Small, compact, robust and available for relatively little money, but its biggest plus point is the variable axle base. The two axles can be easily offset without tools. Thus, axle stands of 23.0, 26.0 and 30.5 mm are possible. In the decades of its career, this little powerhouse has probably served in more different models than any other drive.
The biggest limitation of the Vario Drive (Item No. ANT-VAR) is its maximum axle length of 30.5 mm. The new ANT-MAX can be steplessly adjusted from a maximum axle length of 60.0 mm to 35.0 mm. In its centre sits the small black 8 mm coreless motor, which has already attracted the attention of several drives with its smooth running and incredible power.
The ANT-MAX is delivered pre-assembled. By simply moving the two gearboxes, the desired axle position is set and fixed with two drops of superglue. The backbone of the drive, made of heavy bronze-reinforced plastic, can be shortened if necessary. The ANT-MAX is mounted using the two screw holes at the extreme ends.
The heavier the model, the better the current consumption and running smoothness of the drive. For this reason, slim blackened weight blocks are included with all single drives with coreless motors, which can be accommodated in virtually any model without great effort.
