News 2023.04 - Vienna ULF Type A

The ULF is back!

After a years-long dry spell, the popular Vienna models are now available again! In addition to three (!) different car numbers, the new edition of this classic also brings an NEM652 digital interface, new lines and numbers and the model of the Vienna ULF is now available for the first time as Type A, the first delivery series!

Due to the design-related high maintenance intensity and repeated problems with the hydraulics, the ULF is not particularly popular with the staff of Wiener Linien. In recent years, the hydraulic systems that could raise and lower the entire train have been replaced by rigid iron rods. With an entrance height of 240 mm, the ULF is now no longer the lowest tram in the world (197 mm), but much more popular.
